Payments

Your gateway. Your bank. Nothing taken per order.

You apply for your gateway from inside Agora and we pass it to the provider.

The merchant account is in your name, money settles from your provider straight to your bank, and we never touch it. Which is why there is nothing for us to take a percentage of.

The maths

What the platform adds on top.

Platform Extra fee per order On $500,000 a year
Shopify Basic 2.0% $10,000
Shopify Grow 1.0% $5,000
Shopify Advanced 0.6% $3,000
Shopify Plus 0.2% $1,000
Agora 0% $0

Third-party payment provider fees as published on shopify.com/pricing, 2026. Your gateway's own processing fee applies in every row — this compares only what the platform adds on top of it.

Applying

Getting a gateway is part of the product.

  1. 01

    You apply from inside Agora

One form, the documents the provider actually asks for, rather than a PDF you email into a void.

  2. 02

We pass it to the provider

And track the status, so you can see where it is without chasing.

  3. 03

    Approval timing is theirs

In some markets it takes a few weeks. We will tell you that up front rather than after you have committed.

  4. 04

    You build everything else meanwhile

The shop, the catalogue, the app and the till do not wait on a merchant account.

"Cash on delivery is not a checkout option here. It is a whole flow, with a WhatsApp conversation that settles the order before anything is packed." On the payment method most platforms ignore

COD is the dominant way people pay across Morocco, the Gulf and India, which makes it an operations problem rather than a checkbox.

Next step

See it with your own products in it.

We'll load a sample of your real catalogue so you're looking at your business rather than a demo shop — and tell you honestly what moving would involve.

What we'll want
A sample of your catalogue, and whatever you sell on today
What you'll see
Your own products, in your own language, on your own domain
What we'll tell you
Honestly, whether this is worth moving for — and if it isn't yet, why
